A Body of Water is a collection of intuitive imagined landscapes built on emotional exploration through play and spontaneity, with an emphasis on the expansion and contraction of linear time. The creation of this work served as both a confrontation and an escape from memories and emotions, allowing the artist to journey through feelings via color and texture. Figures and animal imagery are woven throughout, guiding the viewer to explore the paintings and make each piece a psychological sanctuary.

Caitlin Lempia-Bradford's artwork blends her passions for patterns, games, science fiction, and mathematics. While her work is grounded in play, it gravitates toward these systems because of the poetic potential found in structure, sequence, and repetition. Caitlin is fascinated by both the long and short cycles that emerge, as well as the unexpected anomalies that surface during the creation process. Her paintings embrace imperfection and chaos, highlighting irregularity and soft geometry.

Wisconsin artist, Bill Reid, creates brightly painted metal sculptures with wonderful stories. Imaginary animals built from wordplay, such as the Distanteater and the Artelope tell the stories of the artist’s own folklore. Often mechanical and toy-like, his creations are made entirely of welded pieces of thin sheet metal and metal rods. Reid’s work ranges in size from super small to motor vehicle size.
